About Me

I am an eclectic performer with a passion for contemporary music. I aim to bring the Recorder and its repertoire to wider audiences, through theatricality, interdisciplinary art and emotive themes.

After studying Musicology at the University of Birmingham, I was driven by my passion for performance to continue to the Royal College of Music, where I was taught by Ashley Solomon, Julien Feltrin and María Martinez Ayerza. After graduating with a Distinction, I have worked in a number of projects, primarily with the multi award winning Recorder Quartet BLOCK4. Since 2014 we have won awards such as the Royal Overseas League in London, Gold Medal at the Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition in Maryland, USA, and performed at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Buckingham Palace and the National Gallery, As a soloist, I was the proud winner of the President’s Prize for Contemporary Music at the International Bromsgrove Compeition in 2016. This passion for the further exploration of contemporary music led me to my current studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I am proud to be studying with Jorge Isaac in the BLOK system. Since studying in Amsterdam I have begun to explore work in interdisciplinary projects, collaborating with other art forms such as dance, theatre and visuals, for more information on these programmes, visit the ‘Projects’ page.
